Brazil’s highest court imposes strict restrictions on ex-leader
Justice Alexandre de Moraes outlined several limitations as part of the court’s decision. These include nighttime house arrest during the week, round-the-clock house arrest on weekends and holidays, the mandatory use of an electronic ankle bracelet, and a prohibition from engaging with foreign diplomats or entering embassies and consulates.
As stated by reports, the ruling came after findings that both Bolsonaro and his son had engaged in lobbying efforts while in the United States, allegedly aiming to push for sanctions against government figures in Brazil.
