Multifaceted artist Christopher Aven offers in Phaintings, her latest body of work, a collection of abstracts that contain the healing symbols and faces seen in many of her unique and diverse creations.
Christopher says about her work, “These are digital photos of my original paintings. The digital photos are taken while the paint is still wet. I use charcoals, watercolors, acrylics, oils, and whatever else is handy. Only the digital images remain, as the painting surface is too saturated and doesn’t hold up. I love watching the paints run and create new and exciting patterns. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed creating them.”
The simple but meaningful activity of looking at her artwork can bring about incredible effects on both your mind and body. It helps decrease stress levels, which then in turn reduces anxiety, promotes better sleep, and improves memory. It also increases brain activity and activates the parts of your brain that are involved in processing emotions. You also become more observant of details that you would otherwise have ignored, like light, darkness, shading, color, and the like. All these benefits you can gain from looking at Christopher’s works that explore eclectic and whimsical themes with cosmic and spiritual overtones.
Christopher Aven has been honing her artistic talents since the early age of five.
